Exotic name, delicious as it sounds and easier than you can imagine.
If you love the combination of honey and mustard I urge you to try this recipe.. And yes, I again forgot to take a picture of the dish when I served it... I did take it out of the baking dish onto a platter and poured the sauce into a sauce boat.... but forgot to take a picture.... I will update it next time.... Sorry!
Serves 4
Here's what you will need:
6 pcs of chicken
Marinade:
1/4 cup mustard (I use the smooth french dijon)
1/4 cup Honey
1/4 cup melted butter (or half oil and half butter)
1 tsp paprika
1 minced garlic
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp dried oregano or thyme.. (not both)
Salt and pepper to taste.
Method:
Clean, wash and pat dry the skinless chicken pieces.
Add all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and stir well to combine.
Pour over chicken
Coat the chicken well on both sides. Cover with cling wrap and let rest for at least one hour or a couple of hours in the fridge.
Thaw out of the fridge for an hour before baking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200C / 400F for about 45 minutes until nice and golden.
The pan will have lot of sauce - You could thicken the sauce in a skillet on the stove top but I just like it as is. I usually serve this with Focacia bread so the sauce is a great treat.
And that's all there is to this dish.. I told you it was simple..
I wish I had a better picture to share with you. I made this for New Years dinner and was pressed for time with guest coming over.. they loved it..
I do hope you try this out..
Thanks for stopping by.
